Japan Delegation Visits Yibin to Inspect CCIG’s ART System, Exploring Collaboration on Green Smart Mobility

On May 27-28, a delegation from Japan’s TOKYU RAILWAYS visited Yibin upon invitation to inspect the Autonomous Rail Rapid Transit (ART) manufacturing process and its operation and maintenance solutions. They were warmly received by He Dejun, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of China City Industrial Group (CCIG) , Qian Tao, Deputy General Manager of CRRC MRT HOLDING GROUP and others.
The delegation toured the dispatch center, ART vehicle manufacturing plant, maintenance workshop, and hydrogen refueling station, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the R&D, production, and maintenance systems for the ART. They also took a trial ride on the ART train and praised the company’s manufacturing and R&D capabilities.

During the discussion session, both sides exchanged views on the technical advantages and application prospects of the ART system. Having previously reached a preliminary cooperation agreement in Japan, they further explored implementation plans and collaboration models for introducing ART to Japan. The goal is to jointly promote the global reach of China’s ART technology and bring new solutions to Japan’s green, low-carbon, and smart transportation system.

The delegation noted that this visit provided valuable insights and case studies for advancing the ART project in Japan. They were particularly impressed by the system’s ability to enhance urban public transport efficiency while promoting low-carbon, green travel. This reinforced their determination to introduce the ART system. They expressed confidence in leveraging CCIG’s urban mobility solutions and China’s ART technology to improve Japan’s green travel services and drive the development of smart, sustainable transportation.
